The Result
Gained planning permission in 2009 to provide an extension to the front of Chestnut Grove. The property is the highest grade of listed building – a Site of Special Interest.
The Project
We used our considerable knowledge of local traditional buildings and detailing to provide an appropriate response whilst delivering the client’s brief for a conservatory. Achieving approval required careful consultation with the Planning Department’s Historic Buildings Officer particularly given the position of the conservatory on the frontage of the building. Success resulted from the careful design and attention to detail to ensure it would complement those details of the existing property.
