Planning Consultant

Emma has been a Chartered Town Planner since 2001. She has an Environmental Science degree and a Town and Country Planning Masters degree. Initially spending 6 years in the States of Jersey Development Control Team she moved to the UK to take up a post as a Senior Planner with a Chartered Town Planning Practice in Hampshire. Following a period working the City of York Council in their Historic Core team she returned to private practice in Buckinghamshire until taking a maternity break while her three children were young. During this time she maintained her RTPI membership with relevant training and research before returning to work part-time with MSPlanning in 2017. 

 
Emma’s experience covers all aspects of the planning work which MSPlanning undertake, with a focus on preparing Planning Statements for a full range of projects including those which are complex or environmentally sensitive. She also has experience assessing site suitability for the Island Plan review process . Attention to detail and a through approach characterise her work. Outside work Emma maintains several voluntary roles including being a Committee Member for the Jersey Film Society, choosing and screening world class films not otherwise available in Jersey.
