The planning application was approved despite strong objections to the scheme from neighbours. The completed development is a significant improvement on what pre-existed before and will provide attractive homes for two families.
The Project
The challenge was to replace one small cottage and a substandard vacant dwelling with two new family properties, situated in a valley. Given the sensitivity of the countryside location and its proximity to other dwellings, it was decided to adopt a traditional approach. This culminated in a farmhouse with attached barn arrangement and designed in a manner to avoid impact on nearby neighbours.
